Worn often and worn hard in all conditions since purchasing three years ago. Worn around the farm and Homestead, air travel, traveling around Europe and NA, to the office and anything else that I'd wear footwear for. The bite out of the left boot is a consequence of leaving the boots unattended with my sister's puppy in the house last year. When I send these in for work eventually I'll see about putting a patch over it.
I really like this leather. It's slowly been showing more and more brown undertones. I brush them at least once a month and condition 2-3 times per year.
I probably should have sized up a bit (ball probably should be slightly forward) but they are comfortable, sort of like socks. Not much arch support and the heel is a bit large. I'd like to put these on a wedge sole I think to really lean into the sock-like comfort.
Clinch is known for some of the highest levels of finishing. That said, there are a few odd stitches and I've found the hand welt is a bit lackluster (water ingress). That said I'm not very picky and still love the boots. I'll see if a cobbler can figure out the welt issue when I eventually resole them. The leather clicking is fantastic with the way it's worn in. There is no lining which keeps the boots light, flexible and comfortable. The hardware is starting to come loose on some of the eyelets. I've thought about using black boot polish up make some of the natural thread colour less contrasting and cover up some of the brown teacore but haven't committed to it yet.
The sole (toppy) is completely worn down after three years, meaning almost zero traction anymore.
The heel is hard and durable. Not much wear considered to the toppy but it's also quite load in hallways.
I've been putting off sending these away for a resole and repair work because I like to wear them so much. I'm glad I picked them up three years ago and can see them in my life for many more years. I know there's been some pretty substantial price increases in recent years, so I'm not sure if I can recommend them or not anymore.
