These have been more of an office boot than something seeing hard labor. Worn 4-5 days a week since the start of the dome, primarily in the mild Florida winter. Saw a little snow, successful trips through the airport without setting off the metal detector (was a concern when making them), and even a Boot Camp appearance.
Surprisingly not a lot of change after the first month. Picked up some really nicely small pebbling in the grain on the quarters above the counter and developed a decent shine, but other than that, they didn't patina nearly as much as I would have expected from a veg tan, aniline leather. Break-in was non-existent. It manages to both hold a form and not be firm at all.
Fit continues to be excellent, but it's a custom last, so it better be.
Little bit of separation with the Dr sole outsoles that I would love to have a sole press to deal with.
My biggest complaint is with the color. These seem to lean a little more yellow than some of the other off-white soles I have seen. Not sure if it's an older batch or what. In retrospect, I probably would do a different color.
These really doubled down on my enjoyment from making them. Hoping to have a few boots in the next dome on more than just my feet.
