Although a bit stiff at first, the leather quickly softened at the right spots and folds beautifully. With no care routine needed, it was very easy to care for.

I was surprised to see the many scratches it picked up with use, as the buttero is on the interior of the wallet. Pleasantly, the scratches revealed a nice lighter color and added dimension to the already textured appearance of the leather. There was about 3 days of break-in period to allow easy maneuvering of cards in the wallet, and the leather has since maintained excellent durability, holding all of my valuables securely!

Perfect craftsmanship! Designed and stitched by my boyfriend, and edge-finished by myself, this wallet is sentimental. I have wanted a shell wallet for years, so I plan to use this one for the foreseeable future!

I feel very lucky to have a well-crafted, durable, and beautiful piece that will be used daily and last for life. Being able to choose the exact leathers, colors, and stitching was such a fun experience!
