Daily to work in a Cobbler shop. Biking, in the rain, in the snow when visiting Chicago (shout out boot camp), in the mosh pit at my uncles concert, to soccer games, and to every cool clothing store I visit.
Second time using the Maremma leather (first time in red) and it’s just a joy. Breaks in fast enough, no loose grain, shiny, gorgeous off the bat and gets even more so with every wear. Not the most dramatic patina, but also doesn’t need more than an occasional neutral cream or renovator application to keep it looking shiny and spiffy. Did give it a thorough wash with Lexol cleaner after the mosh pit, but the leather bounced right back and was good to go again.
Great fit overall, no pinching in the toes. It is a higher instep and I’ve been scared to sand that part of the last down, but I think I will have to be brave and try that for my next pair cause it looks just a little bit sloppy with the extra space there.
Obviously the maker is a singular genius and every aspect is a perfect 10/10 hehe. Sole finishing was a little rushed and I think it shows, but otherwise super satisfied!
I really like the look of the minilug soles with the edges trimmed off and stitched, especially with the Landis outsole stitching blended seamlessly into the Blake stitching in the waist. With definitely be using it again! Comfortable, grippy, and shoes no signs of needing replacement!
Soft and grippy but hasn’t worn through yet! Good stuff
Quickly became my favorite pair of boots, and I expect to keep them in the rotation for many years!
