US Men's Brannock: 10.5D
2083 Last: 43E
Spenle 2083 last Size 43 Width 8 Not sure if that's an "E" but it's too wide for me imo so I'm gonna say it's an E
This is the first pair I've made I decided in the last because the wide toe box appealed to me. The leather was on sale at Maverick, from SB Foot, and I liked the idea of a teacore leather at the time. I also have fallen in love with black boots, a reverse from a couple years ago.
I used the cordwaining channel in SDP to consult with more experienced shoe makers and paired that info with my brannock. Like maybe before me I believed I was shorter and wider, and now wish I went with a size 44 and smaller width.
Break in was currently non-existent. The leather held up very well. Your can see where the black finish has worn off relatively easily, but I think you could beat the hell out of it and they'd last. Seems rather pipey, but that's not an issue imo. Care was Smiths leather balm where it seemed dry or worn, a coat of VSC once to give them some shine, and that's about it.
Wideboi. I need a slimmer and longer pair. Heel and waist are too wide for me. Toe room ain't bad though.
Everything needs work, but that's what first pairs are for.
