Why did you choose this item?

Availability: Stock Model

I have a 10” Drews logger as a work boot and I really love it. Then I also have a 6” Drews Contractor as my go to every day boot so this looked like something I could use for everything for the next 6 months.

How did you determine your size?

I just got lucky my first time. I read a lot of reviews and it sounded like this last could fit me well. I normally wear 8.5ee in boots like this but the 8.5 D in this last fits me even better (more room in the toe box)

Perfect, took 3 days from order until it was on my doorstep in Iceland!!!

Use & wear

Physical Work

A lot has happened over the duration of this contest. I sold my company (4x4 modifications) did a lot of forestry work. Went on winter highland trips in Iceland. Started working for a bigger company in the offroad industry. And so much more. All wearing this pair of boots.

Leather

Bison Congnac / Brown roughout
Patina Process

These are some hardy leathers! The lower is a rough out and it soon came apparent that that would not work during the winter in Iceland, I needed to wax it. I could not find any wax to my liking so I resorted to making my own. Using the wax that the bees at the family farm produce for us. Ordered some neetfoot oil and made the perfect boot wax (in my opinion). The boot has a veg tan toe stiffener an the toe held it shape a little to good for a patina competition. If you like a boot that patinas very slowly, this is the boot for you. I think I will get many years of wear out of this pair. I would have destroyed a pair of Iron Rangers during this time.

Satisfied with the Fit

This is by far the most comfortable boot I have ever worn. First of all this last is exactly the shape of my foot and on top of that I have been wearing this boot so much that it has completely molded to the shape of my foot. It will be hard to top this boot.

Final thoughts

Good Value

Over all the best boot I own. The contest definitely helped. Made me wear them more that I would have otherwise and made me take better care of them then I would probably do otherwise.
