Immediate, month one changes. Then a really nice, more subtle and complex development from there. Much of the wax wore away quickly, giving the boot more appearance of a non-waxed suede. Then, as the boots were worn in, the nap laid down and burnished in high wear areas and began to take on a waxier appearance again.
Great last. Defined, sleek, elegant. Worked well for my foot shape.
Couldn’t find a flaw in construction. Construction details (tight stitching, high spi) complimented the sleek last. EG lives up to their status.
If I’ve learned one thing through 4 years of the dome, it’s that I can get exactly 6 months out of dainite heels in nyc with daily wear. I walk a ton and concrete eats up any sole, so I’m happy with this.
Excellent pair of boots. Had a great time wearing the absolute hell out of a pair from a maker known for high end dress shoes and dress boots. All in all, another great example of why I join the dome every year. The chance at prizes got me in the door, realizing the prize are the boots you’ve worn the whole time keeps me coming back. See ya in October!
