Cold Temperatures

I teach agriculture and welding at a high school. My Type 1’s served me well standing in concrete for several hours a day and while doing farm chores at our school farm. My boots saw extreme heat, moisture, and cold temperatures. The leather stood up much better than anticipated.

Durability
Color Change

This leather was much more resilient than I initially thought. Doesn’t scratch or scuff easily. The leather has lost color as the patina developed. I brushed after daily wear and applied conditioner twice in the 6 months after the boots got muddy to add some moisture back. Even though this is a heritage type leather it has held up like a traditional work leather.

Favorite leather! Love how it changes!

Satisfied with the Fit

55 last has grow on me. I thought that boots on the 55 last looked a little extreme, but I was wrong. Love the last! Have recommended it to several colleagues.

These boots did not arrive with any detectable flaws. The craftsmanship has held up against my busy lifestyle. Highly recommend Franks!

This is my go to sole because it wears well and is slip resistant. Transitions between indoor and outdoor tasks easily.
