Fortis Boots
Regularly for the first 3 months. Took it to the Galapagos and it held up great to natures challenges
Great leather, thinner than expected but pleasant overall. Scuffs up and cleans up nicely
Fit for me is off. I have challenging feet however, so I don’t really blame Sany (Fortis) for this. This was also a RTW gamble, so par for the course. Heel is pretty nice and snug, volume is a bit much for me but not bad, I have super short toes so toe box is fine. Biggest issue for me is a lack of lateral room.
Finishing wasn’t good. I suspect these were samples or something and Sany didn’t tell me. Welt is sloppy, can see punched holes on the sides. Stitching not the best. Inner leather flaps for the zips weren’t stitched on fully, so the zip gets caught unless I lay those flaps flat with my finger while zipping.
Sole has been fantastic. Was a bit skeptical of the green sole but suited the brown upper nicely. Sound while walking is very satisfying. Didn’t have any traction issues. Will get more boots on Dr soles for sure.
I won’t be buying another Fortis pair until Sany changes how he does things, gets boots to people on time, discloses fully issues with pairs he’s selling, etc. If he didn’t have these issues, I would be open to dialing in sizing better and placing other orders. I do like these boots despite the flaws/issues
