I wore these pretty much every day to my job at a homeless shelter in Edmonton Alberta. I've done everything from serving food to reviving people in these. All through the harsh Edmonton winter.
The brown parts of the boot have kept a rich color pretty well. They darkened a tad where my pants sit and there's a little gouge where I closed a door on the back of my heel but otherwise great.
I was really concerned about getting a green boot that would hold its green for a while. The Indo olive did that really well and I'm quite pleased! I spilled soup on them and ran through the snow and it took it all and only ever really needed a wipe with a kiwi cloth to retain a decent sheen.
The Munson last is stellar. Comfort instantly with support I only really feel towards the end of the day. I normally have a little bit of big and pinky toe rub in most boots but absolutely none here the fit is perfect. I asked Sany to give me an inch of space at the front and he nailed it.
I sent Fortis a rough mock-up of what I wanted and they made it a reality and I'm over the moon about it. These are a pair I'll likely keep in my collection forever. No stitching out of place and everything is holding up as intended despite a sole issue that I'll talk about next. Pretty early on there was separation in the half sole. I asked Sany about it and he told me not to worry about it and that the boots would hold up. I'll be damned if the boots in fact did hold up. The channeled stitching has kept everything in place despite there being a little bit of separation.
It's a great sole, I have worn through the plug on my left boot a bit. I got the matching heel and Holy crap does it not handle the cold well. These heels turn to ROCKS in -30 and it's kind of understandable. If I had to step outside at work during the winters when I returned I could both feel and hear how hard my heel block had become.
Overall I'm really pleased with what I got and how it's gone! My first two domes, both of my boots ended up being kind of duds and not very enjoyable. I finally hit the nail on the head and got something that both lasted, was comfortable long term, and aesthetically exactly what I was looking for.
