My boots have been my daily wear for the entire 6 months of the dome. They have been through the snow and cold of an Iowa winter, the mud of the spring. The boots were boots on a couple hundred mile deep track through heavily wooded and deeply muddied area. They have traversed the asphalt and concrete of the urban world. These boots have been primary footwear on my motorcycle. These boots have enjoyed it all, the seasons, open air, wonderful campfires, they have lived fully and they are still so young.
The natural bone has become so rich in color while forming to how I have worn them. They have picked up the brass from the eyes and speedhooks, the indigo from my jeans, and the scars from the world they have lived in. The over-dyed black bone is starting to show the lightest hints of its brown in the creases and areas of constant wear.
The last after the break in feels absolutely amazing, but that took almost a month to get through. If I were to get this last again I would have the toe ox about 1-2 mm wider.
The design, construction, and fit and finish of these boots are and have remained stellar. They have held up to everything I have put them through and only continued to evolve.
They are fun and unique. I have only just now after almost 1k miles really started to get noticeable heel wear. They have also never let me down in the grip department.
These boots have exceeded anything I could have planned for them. They have been so much fun to put on in the morning and wear as I get to ready for the day. The click on the tile has become a familiar sound that shares my relaxed cadence, it’s almost melodic. Everything that I have done in these boots and how they carried easy task flawlessly has demonstrated how much essential a tool a good pair of boots are. I am genuinely excited to wear through many soles in these and see them write their own history!
