These were exclusively work boots as an automotive painter. There was a lot of snow and slush pulling cars in over the winter. A variety of paints, primers, and solvents have also touched these boot
Firm but not too stiff. Break-in was minimal due to the wedge sole. With the amount of rubbing my boots got on concrete and steel im surprised they're still red all the way around. I did get a red color bleed on the inside of my pants though. I mostly wiped off excessive paint with the proper cleaner, and brushed them on Fridays. Once a month i wiped them down with a wet paper towel a couple days before photos. I did a deep clean and condition before winter with smiths wax for more water proofing and another at the end of the competition. I occasionally spot condition areas of excessive rubbing that looked really dry throughout the competition but not on any kind of schedule. The color got darker overtime. Somewhere between the original crimson and color #8.
I already know my size from Nick's 9.5.D works well for me. I experimented with a delta arch insert. Its not bad but seems unnecessary in these boots. The wedge sole is super comfy under foot
Generally great. They're free-range so they're supposed to be a little wonky, but i knew that before buying it. All i wanted was a fun color and durable. Check and check
Comfortable, hard wearing compared to the other wadges I've tried, more traction too
Height is good, feels the way i expect and what im used too
Color is fun but will bleed, W&C is stiff but not oppressively so, dont expect perfection out of a free-range product and you wont be disappointed
