You name it, and these shoes were there. Not a day went by where these shoes were not a part of me. Every activity, every location, every single thing I did for six months. These were there. Well for two years really, but for the sake of this dome six months.
This leather is indestructible. It’s beautiful. The patina has been amazing, the color change has been gradual this second dome, and it has held up extremely well! The break-in, for this leather was pretty much nonexistent, it did require a little bit of adjusting as it stretched out a little bit.
Everything about these boots fits perfectly! At the start, they feel snug, but very quickly they begin stretching and conforming and rolling to fit your feet just perfectly! Perfectly roomy in the toebox nice and snugish in the heel! I chose to wear this pair with socks most of the time! And it stretched and adjusted perfectly for socks!
Aurora and OSB really constructed these well! Everything has held up beyond my expectations! The Vibram 2060 sole wears pretty quickly with how aggressive I wear them, and so I’ve had a couple sole replacements. The last one, my cobbler nicked a thread and didn’t realize it. So I do have a loose thread on these, but it’s not from the company it’s from my cobbler and doing a sloppy job.
These sole are really the perfect casual sole! I wear these a little bit more aggressively than I probably should, and a little bit more intensely than I probably should. I usually get about six or eight months out of a pair of these 2060 soles. I will likely switch over to something different if I can find something that matches the aesthetic. The soles are really comfy and easy to wear!
10/10 would recommend these! I have these and just about every single color variation, and a leather variation that OSB has ever released. I wear them nonstop, I don’t wear bare feet very often. So anytime I don’t have boots on my feet. These are on my feet. I can confidently say I will always have a pair of these country loafers on my feet. Till the day I die. They are ugly, but man they are perfect! And just look at them, the patina is amazing! Especially on these rough out pairs! I hope everyone bites the bullet and ends up getting into these! Worth every single dime!
