Why I own this

Style

I always wanted horsebutt boots and black horsebutt seemed the coolest with its ability to teacore but man I did not expect the finish to be so resilient and remain black after knocking my boots on rocks and such. I’m excited for the teacore to make its appearance at some point

Break-In

Break in was tough. Veg tanned Maryam horsebutt is dense leather that is defiant when you try to bend it. During the first month of wear, the boots creaked often from the sound of the upper leather moving around the tongue. They eventually softened up after 2 months to become comfortable but definitely caught me by surprise by the break in time
