Gateway boots into a new addiction….
Use & wear
I live in wales and have been to Tromso and Thailand in the last 6 months and these boots have been on my feet all the way. I work in an office most days however I have 2 young dogs so lots of walking in different environments. From baking sun in Thailand to deep snow in Tromso these boots have supported me all the way. In between these boots have had to deal with heavy rain, hot sun, sand, seawater and mud.
Leather
When these boots arrived they were a very light colour and the leather was so thick! It took a while to break in and now they have they are so comfortable. I learned from the previous dome and cleaned and conditioned them more and they seem better for it!
Fit
The boots on day 1 were a little tight however they have relaxed and now fit like a glove. A little heal slip however nothing to worry about
Craftsmanship
It’s an unusual design and I love it. Very chunky and beefy.
Sole & heel
The sole is good however the heel wore away very quickly!
Final thoughts
I always wanted to wear engineer boots however didn’t think they would suit me. Now I have wore these for 6 months these are more favourite boot style and I have a new addiction.
