Self Made
Cowboy Tanker
Worn for long hours on asphalt and concrete, thru snow and rain. Shoveling dirt and snow, worn all the way down to -20 degrees F.
Im very inpressed by the way this leather has held up, it broke in very easily but stayed supportive and durable. Overall a great work boot leather.
I built these on a 10ee to alow for winter socks so with anything thiner socks they are too wide and i should have sized up the length because they fit a bit snug in the toes. Also the shafts are a bit wide and when straped tight there is lots of folded matierial.
For my first pair completely made by me i am happy with the overall build and design. There is far to much room in the shafts and my lasting could be better around the heel but all of my stiching has held up beutifully, from my welts to my outsole stitch and uppers.
Low grip when wet, traction is overall pretty poor, and seems to were down faster than other similar vibrams like the v bar. I will likely not use this sole again.
Not as good as vibrams or biltrites, but you cant beat it for the price 8.99 with nails included and decent durability so ive used these heels quite a bit. Would recommend.
Not the prettiest boot or the best fit, but i wouldnt trade the $250 in materials i put into these for anything else. Great experience building and wearing boots you made yourself, if you feel like trying it i would highly encourage you do it.
