From NH to WA and MN to TX these boots have collected some frequent flyer miles. I’m an electrician by trade that has moved into the BD/sales side of the business. So these boots have been exposed to a multitude of climates and events in my last 6months. From asshole deep snow walking a job in to taking a pair of boots to Wesco in Oregon to get rebuilt while on a work trip. They were on my feet when I came to TX from Indiana for a job interview in Dec and I just took their last pictures in the back yard of my apartment in Texas and yes they were on my feet when I moved down here in a couple of suitcases These boots have been conversation starters, so much so that I started a new hashtag on LinkedIn #InMyBoots

Leather

Durability

Breathability

To be honest I’m 1 of those “over brushers” Always brushed and cedar shoe trees so they probably do t look as beaten as they should. It’s clear to see why they made Jeep gaskets out of this leather back in the day. Super durable and easy to bring back from scuffs. Not sure how breathable this leather is supposed to be but I never had an overly hot foot in them even on. 98deg days

Fit

Unknown Last: 9.5DUS Men's Brannock: 10D

Satisfied with the Fit

Last year I had started with a 9.5 in the same boot. These fit way better out of the box but after break in I fluid add a very thin leather/foam insole. They’re now my go to comfort boot, especially if I know I’m going to have a long day

Other

Having owned multiple other brands of boots boots and put them through the same abuse the construction and durability of these boots were amazing. Adding the Dr Sole 1/2 sole and heel out of the gate I feel like it helped substantially in how well they held up

Final thoughts

Good Value
Would Recommend

Damn I’m excited for next years competition! Won’t be the same maker, well maybe. This competition has taught me a lot about my choice in boots and helped me professionally.
