These were my daily drivers to the office, the occasional excursion to the factory floor, and my daily hikes in the rain, snow and sun.
The leather was very easy to break in and it held up to the elements with minimal maintenance. I brushed weekly and oiled them twice over the winter to keep some protection from the snow and salt. Water shed off the leather easily and my feet always stayed dry. The leather did darken a good amount after conditioning though.
I followed the fitting guide and I think it was fairly accurate. I am on the narrower width side, so I think I could have gone down a half size to help reduce the volume
I understand these are on the cheaper side of nice boots, but I didn't expect to have durability issues within 6 months. A sharp eyelet shredded my laces (a good excuse to order some Generation laces) and the celastic counter cracked. I ended up cutting a slit inside my boots to remove the broken counter piece to make them comfortable again.
The sole held up fairly well with minimal wear. The lugs had fairly good traction even in snow and ice, but they did tend to track a good amount of mud in.
I bought these for my October wedding in the middle of the woods, so I wanted something dressy and capable enough for a hike. Yes, it was on a Thursday, so a Thursday boot made sense. After purchasing them I soon discovered the Dome that also started in October, another coincidence. After my wedding, they turned into my daily wear. Nice enough to wear into the office, yet capable enough to go on my afterwork hikes.
