I wore these boots nearly everyday since I got them in January 2025. They've been in snow, rain, mud, and ice, and have held up better than I expected. Walks through my neighborhood, hikes in the woods, and general everyday use.
Originally the leather was stuff, but has broken in well. The black has started wearing away to reveal the natural tan below in higher wear areas, like the heel counter area, toe cap, sides, and on top where the boot bends when walking. I've conditioned them one after three months, but other than the occasional brushing I haven't done much. The leather itself is super tough and has only shown a few scratches here and there, and I appreciate how relatively thin the horserump is. Not too thick, or thin, just right for all day wear and now it's summer, my feet aren't roasting in them.
I think the fir is pretty good. As the leather has broken in, I've had to tighten them up a bit. In reality, if they offered a C width I would probably get that and let the leather expand to give a tighter fit. The toe box has plenty of room, 11 is my perfect size. My only complaint is that I wish the heel counter was a bit stiffer.
They are basically a take on Nicks Urban Loggers. They look great, feel great, and I've had 0 issues. The only minor issue I've had is the right boot developed a squeak, but that has gone away with wear and time.
It's hard. Good traction on all surfaces.
Wearing as expected
If you're looking at the Nicks Urban Logger, but don't feel like waiting 6 months, and spending over $600, you need to give these a shot. The Black Label leathers are all excellent, and awesome value. I think people are sleeping on these.
