Break-In

Break in was a bit weird, to be honest. In the span of two weeks (about 10 wears) went from descent but roomy fit to way too loose then tightened up to perfect tight bespoke fit. Not sure how or why (perhaps from Poron soles?)! Bullet proof black rough out leather doesn’t patina so much as evolves from waxy to nappy to smooth based on wear patterns. Only care routine is to lightly brush dirt and debris from boot after wear.

Satisfied with the Fit

I am an 11E Brannock, the Truman 11EE is a perfect fit. 79 Last feels like it was created for my foot.

Construction

For this boot quality of construction is excellent. Only negative is that it does look like the nails holding the heel in place are rusting.

Sole & heel

Great sole. A bit of overkill for lite office work.

Final thoughts

Would Recommend

I highly recommend this boot! It is the best quality boot I’ve ever owned. The fit and durability of this boot has me searching for a worthy Truman follow-up. I do want another boot (and look on the Truman site for one almost daily) but know deep down I will never find a better pair than this.
