I am amazed with these boots. I'm not sure I have ever had a better fitting boot / shoe. The break in was a bit but nothing to worry about. The patina of the Java Waxed Flesh is going to be amazing.See background

I love the heritage style of construction and the leather is amazing. I really enjoy hiking in this type of boot for the stability.

daily wear and hiking,
Leather
the leather is tough, after 6 months i finally conditioned with home made cream. keep clean with horse hair brush but that's about it.
Fit
the fit is great. initially i thought the arch was too low but breaking in the veg tan mid sole has helped a bunch. the buying communication was extremely good, helped me decide to get correct fit.
Craftsmanship
The design it top notch. the stitching is very clean. i did lose a speed hook and replaced myself, they offered to fix but i didn't want to ship the boots out... these boots will be with me for a very long time!
Sole & heel
i love the commando sole. it looks professional but still keeps incredible grip when off road
it feels slightly harder than Dainite but still amazing! showing slight heel wear after 6 months but nothing to worry about.
Final thoughts
i think the boots are an instant classic! transport me back 100 years and i'll fit right in! Communication has been great, would totally buy again!
