I wanted more traction because we like to walk and hike a lot. I ended up with the Nora's because they are pretty and versatile for casual and dressy wear.
I wore these boots mostly as casual boots. Lots of urban wear, errends, and paved paths. I did end up wearing them in the snow and ice a bit, because my uncle needed his walkway and driveway shoveled, but he didn't tell me that before I went over to his house. He lives pretty close and my house didn't have any snow left, so I didn't think to take other footwear with me. Did some house projects and yard projects as well. Lots of waiting room wear and only a couple of hikes on mostly paved paths. Lots of walking the dogs and strolling through little towns and parks. Went on a couple or road trips with them, so they've been to 15 states...."Read the full review
A great workhorse boot

I had a partial tear of my plantar fascia in December, which cut down a bit on my activity for a while. Then I adopted a dog who insisted on long walks — even in the snow. From sand dunes to snow to soggy terrain to hiking trails to crossing streams, these boots have been reliable. I've worn them anywhere from a couple times a week to everyday, for an hour or two to 12 hr days. I wore them while traveling for 28 hr stretches twice. They were comfortable and supportive, and not restrictive while traveling. I'm not one to take my shoes off on the road or in the air. I wore them in 90° plus weather, helping my daughter and son inlaw rebuild their porch and a few other home projects. They were fantastic as work boots. Best boots I've owned...."Read the full review
