Rachel and Allison founded Adelisa and Co. in 2016 after discovering handcrafted leather children's shoes at an artisan market in Nicaragua. Recognizing the market potential for beautifully handcrafted leather children's shoes that were simple, well-made, and timeless, they partnered with Marvin, a skilled local artisan with entrepreneurial ambitions. Marvin now leads a team of over 20 artisans whose work is sold to families worldwide.

The company's first design, the Paseo boot, was introduced in 2016 and remains a flagship product. This focus on timeless pieces reflects the brand's philosophy of encouraging consumers to buy less and wear more.

Production

All Adelisa and Co. footwear is manufactured in Nicaragua through handcrafted methods. The company partners with a small, family-owned workshop where each shoe is made entirely by hand. Every product uses high-quality, full-grain vegetable-tanned leather custom-made for the brand.
