The Nolan Brogue Boots utilize Blake stitch construction, a method that attaches the upper, lining, insole, midsole, and outsole through a row of stitching. This construction technique produces a lightweight boot with a sleeker profile compared to Goodyear welted alternatives while maintaining resoleable functionality.

Each pair requires at least 150 manual steps executed by skilled artisans using hand-operated machines. The production process spans 10 to 12 weeks from order placement to delivery, reflecting the made-to-order business model employed by the company.

The upper is constructed from full-grain calfskin leather sourced from a Gold-Rated tannery in Arzignano, Italy. The Gold Rating represents the highest recognition awarded by the Leather Working Group, indicating the tannery meets stringent environmental impact criteria. The leather is hand-finished with shea butter and natural carnauba wax for suppleness and to facilitate patina development over time.

The boots feature full-grain leather lining for breathability and temperature regulation. The midsoles are vegetable-tanned leather, while the outsoles consist of sturdy SRB rubber designed for resoling. Abrasion-resistant SBR rubber heel caps are attached with serrated brass tacks for additional durability. The boots are laced with round, waxed cotton laces.

A pull-up leather variant is also available, featuring leather infused with hot oil emulsions and natural waxes during the tanning process.

The Nolan features classic wingtip brogue design with broguing ornamentation, including precise brogue holes, swooping wingtip patterns, and exact pinking placement. The design balances traditional brogue styling with practical construction suitable for various wearing contexts.

The Nolan Brogue Boots are constructed on a standard D (medium) width last and run true to size, with customers advised to order their typical sneaker or dress shoe size. This sizing approach differs from many heritage boot manufacturers that recommend sizing down from Brannock measurements.

For customers with wide feet (E width), sizing up a half size is recommended. For narrow feet (C width), sizing down a half size is suggested. The boots are available in sizes seven through 14, including half sizes.
