The TDD 02 utilizes Briselblack's traditional hand-lasting and hand-welting construction methods, with the specific application of Veldtschoen 270° construction technique. This construction method provides durability and weather resistance while maintaining the smooth appearance appropriate for derby-style footwear.

The shoe is built on Briselblack's Kujang last, which features an unstructured toe design that provides a more relaxed fit compared to structured toe constructions. The design includes natural edge finishing and incorporates Woodsman heels for a traditional aesthetic profile.

Hardware consists of regular rounded antique brass eyelets, providing both functional lacing capability and visual appeal consistent with heritage footwear styling. The overall design maintains the basic characteristics of traditional derby shoes while incorporating Briselblack's specific construction approach.

The TDD 02 features Teacore Horsehide leather sourced from Shinki Hikkaku, a Japanese tannery known for leather production. This leather choice reflects Briselblack's focus on horsebutt leather, which comprises approximately 80 percent of the company's overall boot production.

The outsole utilizes Vibram Explosion compound, providing durability and traction appropriate for daily wear. This outsole choice balances performance characteristics with the aesthetic requirements of derby-style footwear.

Construction specifications include natural edge finishing around the sole perimeter and Woodsman heel construction.
