Construction
The 80459 features storm welt construction combined with Goodyear welting techniques developed by Charles Goodyear in 1869. The standard configuration includes a Commando rubber sole, though alternative sole options such as Tramuntana and Victoria rubber soles are available. All versions include calf lining for interior finishing. The shell cordovan versions incorporate a bark-tanned leather sole from Rendenbach Jr. tannery, representing a refined interpretation of the Goodyear welt construction method.
The toecap features brogue detailing with optional double line stitching available depending on configuration. The storm welt construction provides enhanced weather resistance through its distinctive welt attachment method.

Manufacturing
Carmina Shoemaker manufactures all footwear on the island of Mallorca, continuing a family tradition dating to 1866. The city of Inca, where production occurs, maintains recognition for its leather industry and quality footwear sector. The company was formally established in 1997 by Jose Albaladejo, great-grandson of artisan Matias Pujadas who opened his workshop in 1866.
