Horween Whiskey Cavalier follows the combination tanning process characteristic of the Cavalier line, beginning with chrome tanning for structural integrity followed by a heavy vegetable re-tannage using bark extracts. The leather undergoes hot-stuffing with a rich blend of proprietary oils and waxes, though with different formulations than standard Chromexcel to achieve the Cavalier line's distinctive properties.
