They have darkened with wear, and the creases add a lot of character. Thankfully, most of the scratches buffed out when I wiped them down. I tend to trip over the dogs and random sticks. Every scratch tells a story though, so I don't mind.
I wore them around the house for short periods of time the first week and then started wearing them on short errends. They seemed to break in fairly easily. I wore them on a hike after a month and did fine. I tend to wear them 3-5 days a week for at least an hour, but usually 2-6 hours. The longest I've worn them at a time was 14 hours.
I've made sure to let them dry if they've gotten wet, and I wipe or brush off any dirt and debris. They've not needed any conditioning. I was worried about some water damage after shoveling my uncles driveway, but they seem to be fine now. They are comfortable, durable, and my feet have not gotten overly hot, even in hot weather and long walks...."Read the full review

They are not an MTO but rather an off the rack version. I oiled them once with Bick 4 before wearing as these thing were made in the PNW at sea level, and I live at almost 5000 ft above that. My honest opinion.

I have brushed the vamp weekly with a soft brush, a stiffer brush on the sole sides and conditioned with Jim Green Leather Balm once a month.
I enjoy the relative slow color change and how deep it looks with use.
This leather get scraches really fast, walking though dry glass is almost enough to scratch them. This will even out with brushing and conditioning.
Deeper scraches such as on the toes gets dark and deepens the look. Parts with more flex and rubbing gets a bit neppy and light in colour, but darkens temporary with conditioner.
I am SO DISSAPONTED that I never get to make functional pre-creases in the vamp. Both this pair and the traveler loafers in CXL.
The crease on the left boot bite my big toe and pushing it inwards every step. Making the part between the metatarsal bone and big toe very sore...."Read the full review

I wiped them down with water every few days. I brushed them every few weeks and they shined up beautifully. I conditioned them with VSC a few months in and they looked like new.
