Rowdy leather exhibits a medium-firm temper with a dense, substantial hand that starts stiff but quickly softens with handling. The grain surface feels waxy, oily, and slightly textured, displaying strong pull-up characteristics and surface variation that contribute to its rugged, broken-in quality. The leather is available in 7 oz (2.8 mm) and 8 oz (3.2 mm) weights, suitable for applications requiring substantial thickness and durability.
