Waxed Flesh kilties put on. No other modifications at this time.
Right out the gate my toes feel like they have all the room they need without swimming in the boots. My right heel is a little loose, though my right foot is slightly smaller than my left, so it’s not surprising.

Like many of us, Carl Murawski and Rose Anvil got me into this world of better boots. When these first released, the idea of picking up a pair was not remotely feasible, but 5 years later I’ve been fortunate enough to add these to my life. While I have no particular need for them day to day, I will thoroughly enjoy their utility on the range or out at the family tree farm.
I owned a pair of Overlanders in the HNW last, and while they were tremendously comfortable, they were ultimately too small as well. I sold them to an EMT and got straight back to searching for a replacement pair. These ND1s came up, and with a wider toe, I was very interested in exploring how comfortable they would likely be in comparison to anything else I’d worn.
Easy as could be. The hardest part was willing everyone else on the planet not to purchase them before I made it home from work.
