The Gunner is a seven-inch boot model manufactured by Jakkrabbits Bootmaker, an Indonesian bootmaker. The boot features Norwegian welt construction and is available on two different lasts with various premium leather options. The Gunner is offered through Jakkrabbits' made-to-order service with delivery within four to six weeks.
The Gunner uses Handwelted Goodyear – 270° Norwegian Chain-Stitch Welt Construction. Norwegian welt construction places the welt completely on the exterior of the boot with visible stitching on the outside, creating better waterproofing compared to traditional Goodyear welting. This construction method is both strong and flexible, making boots sturdy and comfortable. The Norwegian welt was originally used for mountain boots and other intensive applications.
The Gunner features premium leather options for the upper, including Horween Black Chromexcel and Badalassi Carlo Pueblo Oliva. The outsole uses a Dr. Sole 1091 Cork Half Sole in green with brown edge shades. Hardware includes nickel eyelets with speed hooks, and double midsoles are available as a custom option.
The boot is available in a seven-inch height measured from the heel. Two last options are offered: the Nosler Last and the Hornady Last. Both lasts accommodate the Gunner model along with other Jakkrabbits styles including field boots, service boots, logger boots, officer boots, balmoral boots, balmoral oxford boots, and derby shoes.
The Black X Olive 7-Inch Gunner Boots are priced at $499.00, reduced from $520.00. Base Gunner Boots in Indonesian Rupiah are priced at Rp5,400,000.00, approximately $340-350 USD. General Jakkrabbits pricing ranges from $350 for local leathers to $419 for premium imported leathers. The made-to-order service offers delivery within four to six weeks, and free worldwide shipping is available on orders over $200 USD.
