The result produces far more sustainable footwear that lasts significantly longer than cemented construction and allows for endless repairability through resoling.

The Goodyear welt method, developed approximately 150 years ago, creates weatherproof footwear through a construction technique that secures uppers, welt, and sole in a manner allowing for water resistance while maintaining flexibility and comfort. This traditional approach, though more expensive than modern manufacturing alternatives, produces footwear prized for longevity and the ability to maintain through periodic resoling rather than replacement.

Lennertson produces locally within the European Union, ensuring adherence to labor laws and working condition standards guaranteed by EU regulations. This production strategy supports European manufacturing while providing transparency and quality control throughout the supply chain.

The company sources leathers from established European tanneries including Boaventura in Portugal, Alaska and Sciarada and Puccini in Italy, Oehler in Germany, Annonay in France, and Dafar in Serbia.
