NPS brogue boots employ traditional Goodyear welted construction, a method where the upper is stitched to a welt strip that is then attached to the sole. This construction creates a watertight seal between the upper's concealed inner sole and the outer sole through the welting process. The boots feature a double thickness leather sole and heel, with a cork layer positioned between the upper sole and outer sole that gradually molds to the wearer's foot over time for a personalized fit.

The Goodyear welted construction allows the outer sole to be replaced or repaired without compromising the upper, extending the boot's serviceable life. Production takes place at NPS's South Street factory in Wollaston, where over 200 craftsmen divide work into six specialized compartments, each focusing on distinct stages of the manufacturing process.

NPS offers brogue boots in several leather options, including grain calf leather, hi-shine finishes, and rub-off treated surfaces. Some models feature Scotch Grain Calf Leather, characterized by a textured surface pattern. The boots include full leather lining and a leather insole as standard components.

Available sole options include both traditional double-thickness leather construction and Commando rubber soles on select variants. The boots come fitted with brass eyelets and are supplied with thick wax cotton laces. Each pair ships in a handmade box with British Racing Green finish, embossed with the NPS logo in gold foil, and includes a calf leather seat sock.

NPS includes brogue boots within their Heritage Collection, which celebrates the company's 140-plus years of continuous manufacturing since 1881. The Heritage Collection draws from NPS's extensive archive of historical footwear designs, offering both traditional patterns and contemporary interpretations crafted from premium smooth or grained calf leathers. The collection represents NPS's continuation of traditional Northamptonshire shoemaking techniques that have defined the region's boot production for over a century.

NPS Heritage brogue boots retail for $219 in the United States market, while Solovair Classic brogue boots are priced at $239. United Kingdom pricing ranges from £179 to £295 depending on model specifications and retailer. The boots are available through official NPS Solovair stores and authorized retailers in multiple markets.
