Camp boots prove sturdy on the job site and the trail.

The job was incredibly complex logistically, keeping the businesses open below while we fixed portions of the framing above. Stopping traffic, escorting old ladies to their hair appointments, trying to find parking for trailers when the yoga studio was in session, battling termites in the nail salon, keeping dust out of the restaurant, the stories from this job are many.
I had to cover a lot of ground, running down below, up above, putting miles in each day. The lightness of the camp boots were welcome. They offered the traction I needed without the weight. The boots are beautiful, Oak Street has done a good job. I do wish they were taller, being designed more for hiking, the lack of shaft height means I get sawdust and debris down into the boots over the course of the day. We are wrapping up the roof job this month, as the dome comes to a close. These boots will always be tied to a this little season of life. I am grateful...."Read the full review

When I bought them they were well-made leather boots, but after wearing them constantly for six months, they have become MY well-made leather boots. I have a love / hate relationship with these boots

Very hard underfoot only in the heel area. On days where I had to stand or walk a lot, I avoided these boots so they did not get as much wear as I hoped. I also had issues with the sock liner / heel pad. The transition between the sock liner and the insole created a hard pressure point on my foot that never really went away. I’m thinking of getting these resoled with a thicker midsole and softer sole to help the comfort. The roomy toe box of the Elston last is these boot’s saving grace..."Read the full review
