Nazzareno Di Rosa established his shoemaking and leather craft laboratory in 1968 in the medieval town of Montegranaro, located in the Marche region of Italy. The Marche region and the province of Fermo are recognized as world-leading centers for high-quality footwear production in the Italian tradition. The independent Officine Creative brand was officially launched in 1998 by Roberto Di Rosa, the eldest son of the founder, at a time when the fashion industry was dominated by products lacking distinctive identity. Roberto Di Rosa, together with his brother Luca, continues to lead the company and its modern international factory.

Officine Creative operates from its factory in Montegranaro, under the name Calzaturificio Duca del Nord S.r.l., located at 289/A-B Via Elpidense Sud, 63812 Montegranaro, FM, Italy. The company uses Goodyear-welted construction, a premium method known for durability and the ability to resole footwear. Each pair undergoes more than one hundred processes, including washing, burnishing, and dyeing. The brand is known for its 'time machine' construction process, which creates a vintage patina on the leather. Officine Creative pioneered the washed and object-dyed method for leather treatment. Natural horsehides, over-dyed buffalo, and organic vachetta are typical of the skins utilized. The manufacturing process involves sculpting leather to follow the natural movement of the foot, creating the brand's signature wrinkled leather aesthetic.

Officine Creative produces footwear for both men and women. The product range includes ankle boots, derby shoes, oxford shoes, loafers, luxury sneakers, chelsea boots, and sandals. All footwear is handmade in Italy using aged and handcrafted leathers. The company also offers a collection of leather accessories, including bags, backpacks, wallets, and belts. The brand organizes its offerings into distinct collections, including ICONS collections for men and women, and a woven leather selection featuring handwoven accessories.
