The Elmwood is constructed on Parkhurst's 602M last, a modified version of their standard 602 last. The 602M incorporates specific adjustments including an additional millimeter of depth in the toebox area and increased width in the pinky toe region compared to the original 602 last design.

These last modifications accommodate both traditional men's sizing and adapted women's sizing, representing Parkhurst's expansion into women's footwear options. The 602M last provides appropriate room for thicker socks while maintaining a refined boot profile suitable for both casual and more formal applications.
