Color 8 Shell Cordovan key Coffin from Ashland Leather. Bought during the BF sale for fun and wanted to see how it worked. Never had a key coffin for my keys but it’s the perfect timing because I just bought a Satchel & Page Mailbag(messenger bag) for work and when I use it for work, my keys end up scratching the inside of the Mailbag because of the sharp parts of my keys. Now they’re in a key coffin so it won’t get scratched up anymore. Or at least I hope it wouldn’t. I would’ve liked to have a Garnet Shell Cordovan Key Coffin but it’s not available so I settled with Color 8. My 3rd Shell cordovan piece I carry on a daily basis. Can’t wait to see how this one patinates. I have found that my shell cordovan leather wallet and key coffin don’t shine up quite like my Grant Stone Maduro Shell Diesel’s(boots). They are more matte than my boots.
