Gustave RO, but it came with an odd, lightly waxed finished that felt dried out. last year, I used a brass brush to pull up all the nap and wore a bit like that. This weekend I decided to try getting to a more standard waxed flesh texture and feel like it came out exactly how I wanted. A layer of venetian leather balm, then a couple layers of venetian cream, then finished with a layer of bick4. The result has more depth, but retains some of the chaotic, irregular finish it came with. Swapped in some rawhide laces to give them a more rugged vibe. Much more likely now to make into the regular rotation, which was the point of the exercise.
