Crockett & Jones Radnor IV

My most prized pair, my Crockett & Jones Radnor IV’s have returned from their factory home in Northampton with a new sole & replaced tongues, now even better than new. I requested replacing the original Ridgeway sole (an excellent all-rounder) with the relatively new Dainite 601 Ranger pattern, a welcomed and near-identical successor to the now-discontinued Itshide Commando. Somewhat surprising, the tread sole is less firm than Ridgeway, more springy than Dainite studded or Vibram designs on my other shoes (possibly at the expense of longevity - TBD) and offers more confidence underfoot on snow, damp surfaces and non-paved walkways in a rugged, no-nonsense profile. Eager for another 7 years of wear, adventure and memories with these.
