These are super comfy. My first side zip boots. These seem like the result of a cowboy boot and an engineer boots got together did the dirty and these were the results. I love the shape of the toe box. I haven’t always like plain toed boots but GS’s boots lasts fit me well. I had to go 1/2 size up from my Leo lasted size because the same size made my feet hurt and I could not get them on. I struggle a little with these at a 9.5D but not as bad. I’m feeling a little of discomfort on my shins when walking but not a big deal. As I’m sure it’ll be fine once they break in. Big fan of the toe. I wished GS made these in some kind of shell. That would be awesome. I’d be more than happy to pay $1000+ if these were in any shell cordovan. Looks great with selvedge denim jeans and I’m sure they’re going to look fine with dress slacks however, haven’t tried it yet. These are a bargain compared to other side zip boots like what you can find on Standard & Strange. 😉
