I wanted to 'Dome a pair of natural veg tan boots, and being in Australia for the competition I wanted a nice light leather, complete with Australiana connection. Most of my time is spent in a large office in the city, but as an archaeologist I also need to get out on country - so I had to find something with a good balance of office and hikeability - the lug soles are important for that.

Recommendation for Foot Shape
I sized based off community feedback, and cross-referencing with another pair I have - an Iron Ranger 8111 in 10D. The Leo is slightly more roomy, and a better complete fit over all. My foot shape is fairly standard, perhaps with a wider forefoot and a medium-high arch.
