Had to do some stretching because they are super tight around the instep. Feels like pinching. My first pair was in 9D but those were unbearable in the instep so I order 9E instead. I wore these 9D outside so they couldn’t be exchanged so dm me if you’re looking for a pair of midnight suede Travelers by Grant Stone in 9D. They have only been worn outside twice and wasn’t for very long. The loafers are in brand new condition. After I decided they were too small I put them back in its box. Lightly used loafers for a discount. I’ll even throw in the cedar shoe trees it came with! I still had to stretch the 9E’s because it hurt the top of my feet after wearing for more than 3hrs. I put them on the stretcher and left it overnight and now they fit well. For those that think I got the wrong size, I can slip my feet into these loafers barefoot hands free. I don’t need a shoe horn but it only works on the 9E’s. Haven’t tried doing it in my 9D’s and frankly I’m not going to try. I do find that finding the right socks is crucial in a pair of loafers. I wanted to be able to wear these in the winter time as well so I went on a hunt for wool no show socks. My first two pairs were the Grip 6 and Smartwool. Their website said they were “no show” socks but when wearing them, I can still see the socks around the instep and the heel. Not until I found Ondo. Ondo have wool socks that are truly “no show” and the cool thing is they’re not too thick or too thin and they don’t slide off while walking like the G6 and SW socks. Even after stretching the G6 and SW “no show” socks are super thick causing pain in the instep. Not the ondo’s. They are thin/thick enough so it doesn’t hurt my instep anymore and provides enough padding on the top of my feet. It’s important to get comfy socks for your footwear. After stretching the loafers are much more comfy.
