I wore my dome boots to a counter-terrorism class a couple weeks ago (see action photo). Been brushing my boots once per week. We didn’t get any rain locally for the first month of the thunderdome, but finally had some storms during this second month so I had to take a few walks in the weather. I did unfortunately get a gash in the side of my right boot’s toe cap while moving lumber last week; I was hoping to get a more gradual patina than that on my boots but I’m sure it’ll buff out with time. Still going strong at wearing my dome boots every day.

Nicks Handmade Boots
365 Stitchdown MTO
US Men's Brannock: 12D
HNW Moderate Arch Standard Toe Last: 11.5D
Purchased half a size down from my brannock as recommended (not in width though) and I think that’s pretty accurate in this last. A C width in the thurman hnw last might have been better though.

Personally wanted something 100% constructed in the US with 100% US-sourced materials. Job requirements were that the boots had to be black in color, have a polishable toe, provide good ankle support, be made of a predominantly leather upper, and be EH rated.
Followed online sizing guide. Half a size down from brannock.
Once I watched a few videos and read the buying guide, I understood all the store options well enough to make the order.
