The toe box is a smidge longer so could "get away with" 4D, but 4.5D is perfect. Gave me the "yeah that's the stuff" feeling the first time I slipped my foot in. I am right at the line between Brannock 5 and 5.5.

W&C Milled DS Violet was a sample leather never made available for standard purchase. Looks black in most lighting, but not quite black like black but "off". Surprisingly, cloudy/rainy daylight brings out the violet more. I expected more "grape juice" pull up in the toe cap and heel counter.
