My goal during this dome is not just break these in, but to make them better as the contest goes on. In December, I upgraded the heel to a V100. This month I decided it was time to sand and restain the edges. I began the contest with natural beeswax edges which got really nasty looking. I sanded the edges, applied a few coats of British Tan Pro Dye, a few coats of Resolene and then some Pate de Luxe wax for some added shine. I really like the British Tan Color, the orange tone really contrasts with the dark navy leather. I got lucky and took pictures on a really cloudy day which really made the orange color pop. The boots also received a conditioning with some natural Venetian shoe cream which the leather seemed to really appreciate.
