I have a simple style these days: mostly jeans, occasionally jeans that pretend to be khakis, and either blue or gray a henley shirt. I was set on choosing a brown leather; I have all but eliminated black from my wardrobe. I chose the brown waxed flesh-out because I like how they would look with some miles on them. I chose the height for ankle support.

I looked at a considerable number of reviews, thought about previous boot buying, and decided to go a half size down from my Brannock measurement. Nicks sent me a pair of boots to try; one in my indicated size. They fit great and nearly wanted to keep them. That try on pair clinch it for me that I didn’t need more that 8in high boots.

Nicks was great with the online ordering. They also were great with responses to questions and changes after the order was made.
