Oldspeed MFG Service Boot 6”

Picked up some Boot Black Cordovan Cream at Boot Camp after chatting with Nick Horween and hearing it mentioned on Full Grain Podcast a couple times. My goodness, does it add a crazy shine very quickly. Apparently it’s jojoba oil based. Jojoba oil was a major component of transmission oil between 1986-1992, before being replaced by synthetic liquid wax ester (LXE). Prior to 1972, sperm whale oil was the major component of transmission oil (and also used in chromexcel). Jojoba plants are a desert shrub and their seeds contain a liquid wax that is primarily wax esters, similar to sperm whale oil. Wanted to prepare my boots for more rain and snow, so hopefully the jojoba helps with that too.
