The Service Boot last has a medium heel lift and toe spring with medium-high instep volume. Volume in the waist, heel, and forefoot accommodates a range of foot shapes while running true to Brannock size. The boot is produced in US Men's sizes six through 13 in D and E widths.[1]
Construction
The Service Boot 6" employs stitchdown construction with white double row stitching on the vamps. Each boot is hand-lasted on a nine to 10 oz wet-molded lasting board. The counters are cut and skived by hand to achieve proper thickness for heel support. The 13 to 15 oz vegetable-tanned leather midsole features a brown edge finish. Structural components utilize vegetable-tanned leather from Hermann Oak Leather Co. and Black Forest Pit Tan.[1]
Oldspeed MFG employs entirely manual construction methods across all production stages. Patterns are traced by hand onto leather, followed by hand-clicking (cutting) the upper pieces. The lasting board edges are trimmed and beveled by hand before the lasting process begins.[1]
Materials
The Service Boot 6" is offered in four upper leather options: SB Foot Cedar, Horween Tan Latigo (also available in rough out), SB Foot Black Prairie, and Horween Natural Chromexcel.[1]
The vamp lining consists of pigskin while the quarter lining uses acorn buckskin. Hardware includes antique brass eyelets and Made in USA flat waxed brown laces. The outsole is a Vibram 430 Mini-Lug full sole and heel.[1]
Last and fit
The Service Boot last features a medium heel lift and toe spring with medium-high instep volume. Volume in the waist, heel, and forefoot is designed to accommodate varying foot shapes. The last runs true to Brannock size.[1]

The Service Boot 6" is priced at $550.00 USD and produced on a made-to-order basis. Each pair is handmade in Oldspeed MFG's Media, Pennsylvania workshop with a fulfillment time of four to six weeks.
