Seidel Burgundy Double Shot
Been wearing these going on 3 days, about 12 hrs each day. No real pain to speak of. Comfortable right out of the box - was NOT expecting that! As the soles break in and the arch settles, it may be difficult to get me to wear any other boots that I own from now on. The upper leather has softened dramatically in that short time. Walked nearly a consecutive mile yesterday (day 2) and had no issues. Not gonna lie, the Double Shot leather is kinda flat when you take the boots out of the box - little variation, if any, in tone from top to bottom, front to back. Almost disheartening to look at, initially. But as the upper gets flexed, the vamp and heel get bumped, and the Texas dust settles on them they are already showing signs of coming to life. I relace/tighten em up a bit after lunch as the leather is still loosening up. Heel height is perfect for the weird way I walk. With higher-heeled boots (Drew's and a couple of cowboy boots), my foot tends to slap the ground as I walk. No issue with these at all so far. Not sure anything will ever be as comfortable under foot as a wedge sole, but these may give em a run foe their money.
