Excellent Boot style, sailed through winter, and heavy wear, sole still looks new, Horween cxl best
Use & wear
This boot I have been using for commute to work in Boston, and many times continued it with dress in office as well. It felt good with dress pants as well, probably due to comfort. Have used these boots for outside travel, blowing leafs in fall, plowing snow in storms, and recently built a whole fire pit with seating area in my backyard with these boots.
Leather
It was comfortable out of the box. After couple of wear it felt like gloves. Wanted to see how they fair in these 6 months rough wear so haven’t touched them with cream or even no dusting yet.
Fit
True to size, with some extra volume in front. Good for thick socks in winter.
Craftsmanship
Top class quality and craftsmanship. Didn’t wanted a tall boot so went with this. This is perfect style, wore heavy this winter. No strain or damage noticed so far. Leather lace broke on side but still long enough to work. Construction is top class.
Sole & heel
Sole doesn’t even feel like a wear. Very comfortable to walk, and holds well. I even used to push concrete block and foot didn’t feel any impact. 😀 leather upper looks like being wore heavy but sole doesn’t have any thread loss. I am sure these will last me decade 😀
Final thoughts
Would highly recommend Bulwark or any other boot made by BLKBRD.
